Succession meets The Sopranos in this tongue-in-cheek production of Puccini’s first and only comedy. A cast of internationally acclaimed guest performers joins New Jersey Festival Orchestra to present this rip-roaring comic romp of deception, greed and double-crossing. Stage director Josh Miller brings it all into a flambuoyant 1970s setting. Sung in Italian with English supertitles, this riotous performance boasts some of the composer’s most memorable work including the renowned “O mio babbino caro,” one of the most popular arias in opera – ever. Opera lovers (and even opera haters) are in for a treat!
